Introduction
For almost
20 years, the EuroSTAR software testing conference has been the
most successful and widely acknowledged gathering of European
software testing professionals, and for most people, the premier
information transfer and networking event on the testing calendar.
In November 2011, EuroSTAR took place in Manchester, UK. With over
850 attendees participating it proved to be a highly informative
and innovative event for software testers in Europe and beyond.
The conference takes place in a different host city every year,
and has taken place in cities such as Cologne, London, Amsterdam,
Manchester, Brussels, Edinburgh, Munich, Barcelona, Copenhagen,
Stockholm and the Hague. This year, EuroSTAR 2012 will take
place from the 5 - 8 November in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The first
1.5 days consist of Tutorials presented by world acclaimed testing
experts, and these tutorials provide the highest standards of
training available. Tutorial Training courses take place on Monday
from 8.30am- 5.00pm and Tuesday from 8.30am-12.15pm. Your tutorial
choice must be made when you register for EuroSTAR 2012. The
conference and exhibition takes place over the following 2.5
days.
The Conference
The 2012 conference officially opens on Tuesday afternoon. Each
day there is a mixture of plenary (keynote) and track sessions with
some advanced sessions for more expert testers. Typically there are
up to 5-6 sessions happening at any one time. EuroSTAR is a packed
programme, and the conference can be an intense learning
experience. Therefore first time attendees are advised not to try
attend every session, but take some scheduled breaks in between to
review your learning material. Then you can decide who you want to
meet/network with, and make sure you keep some time free to visit
the many tool vendors in the expo area.
The Exhibition
Alongside
the conference we run the EuroSTAR Test Tools and Services
Exhibition. The exhibition opens on Tuesday and closes after the
last coffee break on Thursday evening. Many of the leading
companies within Software Testing will be represented at EuroSTAR
