EuroSTAR takes place once a year and has grown to become the
leading event for Software Testers in Europe. There is an
incredible amount of work that takes place behind the scenes to
ensure that EuroSTAR maintains the highest standards and offers our
community and delegates the very best of experiences. Find out a

Nicola McCombie
Hi, I joined the EuroSTAR team this year as Conference Manager.
My role is widely varied on a day to day basis, which is great -
there is rarely a dull moment (proof reading copy being the lesser
of excitements, venue visits, online marketing and meeting the
EuroSTAR Community being the greater!)...and time certainly flies
quicker than it should!
I hail from a small town in the north east of Scotland (up near
Loch Ness), having travelled for a few years and settling in Dublin
for the last 7 years. The lure of the West was certainly worth a
relocation though and I'm delighted to now call Galway home. I'm
really looking forward to this year's conference in Amsterdam and
hope you all enjoy attending as much as we enjoy organising it!

Andrew McDonald
Hi I'm Andrew and I've just started working for EuroSTAR earlier
this year. Having been working in Dublin for the past few years,
I've returned to my home town of Galway, which incidentally is
where the EuroSTAR headquarters are based. In my spare time I play
basketball and am a big rugby fan, where my humour on any given day
can be linked directly to the form of the Irish Rugby team!
My role with EuroSTAR involves working with Sponsors and
Exhibitors and ensuring that they get the absolute utmost out of
their EuroSTAR experience and have a fantastic time. Manchester was
my first EuroSTAR experience and I can't wait for the next one,
hope to see you all there!

Emer O'Connor
Hi I'm Emer, I'm the Marketing Manager with EuroSTAR
Conferences. I manage a lot of relationships with our Country
Ambassadors, Supporting Organisations, speakers and community so
I've probably spoken to - or harassed - many of you at some
stage! I'm from beautiful Galway on the west coast of Ireland,
which is also home to the EuroSTAR Conferences headquarters.
I enjoy travelling, so it's wonderful to visit so many beautiful
European cities for EuroSTAR. I also enjoy socialising, reading,
eating Miriam's many delicious creations and I love all sports - as
a spectator! It's wonderful to work with all of the EuroSTAR
Community, and I look forward to meeting you at the next
EuroSTAR!

Miriam O'Brien
Hi my name is Miriam and I manage the Digital Marketing
activities at EuroSTAR. I originally hail from County Cork, which
is located in the south of Ireland. Cork is considered the real
capital of Ireland!
When I'm not working on virtual conferences, webinars, eBooks,
competitions, and our various online communications, I spend my
free time cooking and baking, and pouring over my growing
collection of cookbooks. I love bringing in my baked goods for my
colleagues to sample, and so far they haven't complained! I really
enjoy being part of the EuroSTAR Team and I'm looking forward to
seeing the EuroSTAR Community at this year's conference.

Siobhan Hunt
I joined the EuroSTAR team in 2007 and haven't looked back
since. I'm originally from County Roscommon (Irish midlands) but
Galway has been my home for so long now that I'm truly integrated.
I have a family of four - two reared, two still coming up through
the ranks. Love to golf when I get some free time - blows away the
cobwebs, and to relax a little with some light reading and
music.
I am responsible for the administration duties in the office. I
enjoy working with my colleagues and liaising with the testing
community throughout the year. I also interact with the programme
chair and committee, programme speakers and of course answering our
delegates queries. I also am responsible for delegate and group
registrations - and hopefully help make your experience at EuroSTAR
user friendly.

Joan Daly
Hi all, I joined EuroSTAR as the Company Accountant in 2007. I
work part time with a fantastic team, get to travel and meet loads
of lovely people - it's a great combination.
I was born in America, grew up in Galway, Ireland, then immigrated
and worked as an accountant in California for twelve years. Then,
ten years ago, the hubby and I took the plunge and moved back to
Ireland and happy to say haven't looked back since. Galway is a
great place to raise our two girls.
Don't get much free time but when I do like nothing more than
catching up with friends over a few drinks on Quay Street. Add a
sunny evening to that equation and you get pure BLISS!
