Conferences are great. We confer, we learn new things, we listen to repeated things, and we get a big motivation shot. Testing conferences are great too. In addition to the list above, we also have fun and make friends. One thing many testing conferences don't have, though, is actual practical testing.

There's a saying that goes "there are so many trees here, one can't see the forest".
Are we obsessing with finding bugs, to the point where it prevents us from thinking about quality? Are we so busy looking for and reporting bugs that we don't have time to test?

Today was voting day at EuroStar conferences.
Adam Brown, Ajay Balamurugadas and me were the three finalists out of the other excelent bloggers. All did a great job, but apparently the three of us were on top according to the criteria choosed by the judges.
So the three of us were up to votes. What an energetic day! Every time I looked at the results dashboard, the numbers pointed in a different direction :). Who would pack to Denmark for EuroStar? There was no way to be sure!

Hello all!
For this weekend's read, I downloaded and printed the (free!) "A Lucky Shot at Agile" eBook written by Zeger Van Hese. It is a best-paper award piece from last year's EuroSTAR, and recently a webinar too. I had to miss the webinar due to scheduling conflicts, so having it on book now is a good opportunity to catch up. I will write a little bit about the eBook here, but I recommend you still read the full story on this link (this is a review only, not a summary).
