Th9 - Top Ten Quality Tips for Agile

Based on the presenter's practical experience of delivering successful testing services within Agile projects, this presentation identifies 10 actions that can be easily implemented to improve the quality of the end solution.

Testing for real in Agile development projects is now prevalent more than ever. However, due to the variety of Agile methodologies and the degree of customisation of the process by organisations, it is easy to miss the key activities that will assure the quality of the project. This presentation will take the audience on a journey through some of the common problems with quality and testing within Agile projects. These problems have been experienced first-hand by the presenter. The presentation will then move on to demonstrate how these problems can be prevented using ten key practical tips that the participants can take back to the work place and implement. In the course of the presentation, topics such as development testing, non-functional testing, environments, virtualisation, metrics and communication will be covered.

Some of the activities proposed may also challenge pre-conceived ideas that participants may have about testing in an Agile environment and the presenter hopes to generate a healthy discussion at the end of the presentation.
